Research Associate II

Bio:

Erik works as a Research Associate within the Stem Cells & Gene Editing Team at the Allen Institute for Cell Science. He contributes to the institute's mission by generating fluorescently tagged human-induced pluripotent stem cell lines. These cell lines are ultimately released to the world for research and commercial purposes as part of the Allen Cell Collection. Prior to joining the Allen Institute, he completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Western Washington University. During this period, he discovered his passion for genetics while working under Dan Pollard, studying cellular trait variation in budding yeast.
