designed for educators, built on open science
Our programs vary in length and format, but each one is practical, collaborative, and classroom‑ready. Educators gain direct access to Allen Institute science, tools, and people - and leave with resources they can use right away. Many events and workshops include guided tours of our purpose‑built research facilities in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood.
Participants have opportunities to:
- Connect with working scientists and research teams
- Explore the latest advances across the life sciences
- Use open biology datasets and visualization tools
- Learn evidence‑based science teaching strategies
- Collaborate with fellow educators and Institute experts
- Receive ready‑to‑use curriculum resources or co‑create new materials
- Discover education and career pathways to share with students
