David Feng

Sr. Director, Scientific Computing

teams /
Allenite

David leads scientific computing at the Allen Institute for Neural Dynamics, managing scientific data and analytical workflows at scale and sharing them with the neuroscience community. David studied computer graphics and data visualization at Northwestern University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After completing a Ph.D. in multivariate data visualization in the context of magnetic resonance spectroscopy, David joined the Allen Institute for Brain Science. Over 10 years there he was a data visualization software engineer, led a team of scientific data engineers, and directed product and technology. David spent three years as a Director of Product Management for visualization and data modeling at Tableau Software before rejoining the Allen Institute.
