Bio:
Julia joined the Allen Institute for Brain Science in 2021 as a Research Associate I in the Morphology team of the Neuroanatomy group. She works primarily on reconstructing three-dimensional models of neuronal morphologies using specialized software. Julia came from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) where she started as a Neuroscience undergraduate student in 2015. After graduation, she worked at a UAB Neurology lab doing Alzheimer’s disease research. Julia is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She came to the United States to study Neuroscience, and later got the opportunity to pursue a career. Julia now hopes to grow as a scientist and learn new skills in the Neuroscience field.
