Cristina Radaelli

Research Associate III

Bio:

Cristina joined the Synaptic Physiology team at the Allen Institute in 2018 to investigate neuronal connections on both mouse and human brain tissue by using multiple electrodes simultaneously. Cristina earned her international masters degree in Neuroscience at the University of Trieste, in Italy. She carried out her masters project at the Laboratory of Neural Microcircuitry, supervised by Henry Markram and Rodrigo Perin. Here, she discovered the electrophysiology technique as a tool to study cholinergic neuromodulation in acute brain slices. The following experience at the Vrije University, led her to appreciate the pioneering study on surgical resected human tissue, where she explored single cell properties.
