The Allen Institute is leading a bold, global initiative to study and understand brain disease at the level of cells and circuits—a new approach aimed at revealing the drivers and mechanisms of brain diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Huntington's, and ALS.
The goal of Brain Health accelerator is to accelerate the development of new treatments and therapies by turning knowledge into action—understanding the cells that are vulnerable to disease and finding new ways to target and rescue them. This global collaborative effort involves some 30 institutions and organizations united in the mission to advance human health for all.
