IBRO World Congress 2019
Meet scientists from the Allen Institute for Brain Science at IBRO 2019 in Daegu, South Korea. Visit us at booth B-16, participate in our workshop, or attend our luncheon seminar to learn about resources and more.
Workshop: Exploring multimodal mammalian neuronal data using the Allen Brain Atlas tools and resources
The Allen Institute for Brain Science will host a workshop on navigating multimodal datasets characterizing the mammalian brain. This will include live demonstrations and a discussion of applications of the open accessible tools hosted on brain-map.org. Types of data will include transcriptomic (RNA-Seq), morphological, and electrophysiological data from thousands of neurons from both human and mouse. These data showcase the diversity and functional complexity of cell types in the mammalian brain. Allen Institute scientists will also review use and applications for accompanying analysis tools.
Advance registration is recommended, but not required.
The Allen Institute will present a luncheon seminar during the IBRO main meeting on the Allen Cell Types Database. The Allen Institute for Brain Science is contributing to a broad effort to develop a census of cell types in the human and mouse brains. The Allen Cell Types Database provides comprehensive, standardized transcriptomic, electrophysiological, and morphological data from individual cells, open for the broad research community. This seminar will provide an overview of the scientific rationale for this work, the methodologies used for large-scale data collection, and highlight findings from early analysis of the data.
Advance registration is not required.
