Solving the mysteries of bioscience
We are an independent nonprofit bioscience research institute aimed at unlocking the mysteries of human biology through foundational science.
Foundational Science Fuels Breakthroughs
We are leaders in large-scale research that transforms our understanding of human health and disease and shapes how science is conducted worldwide.
Inspiring Next-Generation Scientists
To us, open science extends to inspiring the next generation of scientists by supporting access to science resources, research, and experiences.
Dr. Xiaojun Li has 20 years of experience in bioinformatics and computational biology with deep knowledge of OMICS platforms, covering genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics. He played a pivotal role in the development of five diagnostic tests with hands-on experience on colorectal cancer, lung cancer, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver fibrosis, and treatment resistant depression. He currently serves as Director of Informatics and Computational Biology at Allen Institute for Immunology. He previously served as Executive Director of Biomarkers at Denovo Biopharma, Director of Bioinformatics at Prometheus Laboratories, Senior Director of Bioinformatics at Integrated Diagnostics, and Director of Bioinformatics and Data Management at GeneNews. Dr. Li’s “Omics” career started at Institute for Systems Biology, after receiving his Ph.D. degree of Physics at University of Maryland and B.S. degree of Modern Physics at University of Science and Technology of China. He is a coinventor on 9 issued US patents and 6 international patents and has more than 40 peer reviewed publications
