Solving the mysteries of bioscience
We are an independent nonprofit bioscience research institute aimed at unlocking the mysteries of human biology through foundational science.
Foundational Science Fuels Breakthroughs
We are leaders in large-scale research that transforms our understanding of human health and disease and shapes how science is conducted worldwide.
Inspiring Next-Generation Scientists
To us, open science extends to inspiring the next generation of scientists by supporting access to science resources, research, and experiences.
Bio:
Tyler joined the Institute for Cell Science as a part-time software engineer during his senior year at the University of Washington. After receiving his B.S. in Informatics, he joined the team as a full-time employee in late summer of 2018.
Tyler’s work primarily focuses on developing tools and user interfaces to assist the lab scientists with data management. This requires extensive cooperation with the scientists to understand how their existing workflows may be integrated with the rest of the Institute’s data management systems, as well as to optimize those workflows to make data management quicker and more reliable.
