Bio:
Susan Russell has worked for 20 years as a high school Biology and Biotechnology teacher in Edmonds, Washington. Throughout her career she has partnered with Seattle area science institutions to develop and deliver locally relevant science curriculum. She has engaged in workshops, served as a contributing curriculum writer and as a lead science teacher with organizations such as Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center’s Science Education Partnership, Shoreline Community College, NOAA and the Infectious Disease Research Institute. Ms Russell holds a BA in Biology from Macalester College, an MS in Ecology from Utah State University and a Masters in Teaching from the University of Washington. Prior to her teaching career Susan worked in varied roles from Fisheries Biologist in Alaska to Agroforestry Extensionist in Paraguay with the US Peace Corps.
