Bio:

Sandra is a Scientific Data Engineer at the Allen Institute for Cell Science. She is a part of the computational team where she implements statistical and computational analyses of image-based assays of cell dynamics and structures. She also assists with developing and testing deep learning segmentation algorithms, feature extraction and is involved in the processing and development of pipelines. Sandra graduated with a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester and a MS in Bioengineering with a concentration in computational biology from the University of Washington. Before the Allen Institute, Sandra has worked at the Institute for Systems Biology as a Machine Learning intern and a Research Associate at Bristol Myers Squibb.
