Bio:

Sam Caldwell joined the Allen Institute for Brain Science as a Scientific Project and Alliance Manager in May 2023. Prior to joining the Institute, she was a legislative analyst with the County of San Mateo in California. Sam was also a California Council on Science and Technology Policy Fellow in the California State Legislature, where she served as a policy consultant for the Senate Committee on Business, Professions and Economic Development.

Sam Caldwell earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Davis, where she developed image-guided nanotherapeutics for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. Sam completed her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering at Case Western Reserve University.
