Bio:
Peter Groblewski is an Associate Director of Research Operations in the Allen Institute MindScope Program, where he oversees the surgery, behavior, and optical physiology components of the Allen Brain Observatory pipelines. Peter joined the Allen Institute in 2013 as a member of the Neural Coding research group and has held multiple roles leading large-scale pipeline projects and high-throughput core facilities.
Prior to joining the Institute, Peter was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Washington where he studied neuroeconomics in rats and managed a rodent self-administration behavior facility. Peter received his Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience from Oregon Health & Science University where he conducted his thesis research on the prefrontal cortical circuits involved in cue-elicited approach behaviors in mice. Prior to earning his Ph.D., he earned a B.S. in Neuroscience from Bates College and conducted traumatic brain injury research for the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington.
