Bio:

Pavel joined the Allen Institute in 2019 as part of the Neural Coding team. He is currently working  on advancing the Open Ephys GUI, an open-source, cross-platform, plugin-based application for acquiring multichannel electrophysiology data. Pavel is optimizing the GUI for use with Neuropixels, a new type of silicon probe capable of recording single unit activity across dozens of cortical and subcortical structures simultaneously. He brings research and industry experience in biosensors, signal processing and human-computer interaction from UW Bioengineering and Microsoft Research. Pavel earned his BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering with College Honors from the University of Washington.
