Bio:
Miki joined the Allen Institute in 2024 as a System Design Engineer in the Scientific Instrumentation and Process Engineering (SIPE) group. In her role, she focuses on sustaining and advancing scientific instruments across the Brain Science department while also designing automation hardware for electrophysiology systems.
Miki earned a B.S.E. in Aerospace Engineering in 2015 and an M.E. in Space Engineering in 2016, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Before joining the Allen Institute, she served as a Research Lab Specialist in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan, where she developed Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS)-based endomicroscopy imaging systems for both animal and clinical applications.
