Bio:

A member of the Imaging Department, Mike joined the Allen Institute in January 2018. In addition to operating the Institute’s serial-sectioning and whole brain imaging pipeline, Mike is developing spatial transcriptomics imaging techniques for large volume tissue samples. In his previous position at the University of Oregon, where he earned his Ph.D. in physics, Mike’s work focused on the live imaging of bacterial populations as they colonized a host organism.
