Bio:
Marie currently works as a Research Associate II for the Transgenic Colony Management team. Originally from the East Coast, Marie started her career in biomedical research at the National Institutes of Health. She was trained as a Biologist -eventually becoming the laboratory manager at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute where she gained most of her benchtop laboratory skills including flowcytometry, PCR, and sequencing. After crossing the country to join her family in Seattle, she worked as a Research Scientist/Coordinator at the UW Medical Department of Hematology. Marie received her B.S. in Animal Science from Rutgers University, holds a M.P.S. in Biotechnology and is a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
