Bio:
Lauren joined the Stem Cell and Gene Editing team in July 2023. As a Research Associate, she works on quality control and maintenance of CRISPR/Cas9-edited hiPSC lines.
Prior to joining the Institute, Lauren graduated with her B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Washington. At the UW’s Golden Laboratory, she investigated genetic tools with applications of studying the neural circuitry of addiction, aggression, and depression. There, she created Cre-dependent constructs of a novel nuclear-localized protein, and prototyped a near-infrared light inducible Cre recombinase.
