Bio:
Kennidy Takehara first joined the Allen Institute for Immunology as a Scientific Trainee in 2024 and is now a Scientist I. She received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in Immunology from the University of California San Diego. Under the mentorship of Dr. Ananda Goldrath, her doctoral research utilized spatial transcriptomics and single-cell RNA sequencing to uncover how local tissue environments shape the formation and differentiation of tissue-resident memory T cells in the prostate. Before pursuing her Ph.D., Kennidy worked as a research technician in the Department of Immunology at the University of Washington, where she studied antigen-specific T and B cell responses in the context of allergy and infection. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for experimental immunology. She received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Washington.
