Bio:

Growing up in New England, Julia attended the University of Vermont as a biochemistry major doing her thesis work in Jason Stumpff’s lab. After undergrad, she moved on to Seattle to work as a technician in Sue Biggins’ lab at Fred Hutch. To continue her education, she joined the University of California Berkeley’s Biophysics graduate program where she did her thesis work in the lab of Georjana Barnes and David Drubin. After all her work studying the mechanisms of cell division, she's now part of the Stem Cell & Gene Editing team within the Allen Institute for Cell Science.
