Jackie Kuyat

Research Associate II

Bio:

Jackie joined the Allen Institute’s Neural Circuits and Behavior team in 2020 after earning a dual B.S. in Neuroscience and Biology at Washington State University. During her time at WSU, she studied the effects of chronic cannabis use on brain development. Her work documented the role of neural circuitry activated by cannabis and its role in behavioral and cognitive changes in rodent models. At the Institute, Jackie assists in research aimed at understanding how electrical signals change at different levels of consciousness and what role the claustrum plays in behavioral aspects of consciousness.
