Bio:

Heston Smith joined the Allen Institute in 2021 as a member of the Engineering team supporting the Mindscope Program. His primary roles are sustaining the current experimental pipeline for Mindscope and assisting in the design and integration of new systems into the pipeline. Originally from West Virginia, Smith recieved his BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2018. Previously, he has worked as a design engineer for Kenworth Truck Company and as a Mentor for Seattle-area youth in STEM programs centered around product design and prototyping.
