Bio:

Haley joined the Allen Institute for Cell Science in the Spring of 2022. She works as a Research Associate on the Assay Development team, where she is involved in the quality control and confocal imaging processes on novel cell lines.

Haley graduated with a B.S. in biochemistry with Honors from Washington State University. There, she spent time in three different research labs. She investigated the mutagenic effects of UV light regarding driver mutations in melanoma under the mentorship of Dr. John Wyrick, investigated the mechanism the foodborne pathogen Campylobacter jejuni utilizes to invade host cells under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Konkel, and studied the development of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy phenotypes related to cardiac myosin binding protein-C in mice hearts under the mentorship of Dr. Bert Tanner.
