Greg Crowther, Ph.D.

Bio:

Greg Crowther is a tenured biology instructor at Everett Community College north of Seattle, where he teaches human anatomy and physiology to pre-nursing students and others. He previously worked as a postdoctoral research scientist at the University of Washington and as an instructor at UW-Seattle, UW-Bothell, South Seattle College, and the University of Puget Sound. He holds a B.A. in Biology from Williams College, a M.A. in Science Education from Western Governors University, and a Ph.D. in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Washington. Greg is currently the lead developer and researcher of the Test Question Templates (TQT) framework for making summative assessments more transparent, rigorous, and equitable. His work on TQTs was recognized with a 2021 Teaching Career Enhancement Award from the American Physiological Society. Greg also has expertise in incorporating the arts into STEM education, and is a member of the editorial board of HAPS Educator and the International Journal of Science Education.
