Bio:

Deepanjali joined the Allen Institute for Brain Science in 2023 as a Scientist I in the Molecular Genetics team. She primarily works on building and characterizing viral tools to specifically target different neuronal and non-neuronal cells in the mouse brain. Before joining Allen, Deepanjali was a postdoctoral researcher in Gord Fishell’s lab at Harvard Medical School and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. During her postdoc, she worked on understanding the role of postsynaptic signaling in developing thalamic connectivity on SST Interneurons. She received her PhD from National Centre for Biological Science (NCBS), TIFR, India, in 2020.
