Claire Weichselbaum, Ph.D.

Education & Engagement Specialist III

Bio:

As a member of the Education & Engagement team, Claire Weichselbaum helps to share the Allen Institute’s open science with students, educators, members of the public, and scientific audiences. Her work particularly focuses on creating educational resources and professional development opportunities for undergraduate students and educators across neuroscience, cell biology, and immunology. She also shares Allen Institute open resources with the research community at scientific conferences and training events, as well as engages public audiences of all ages in exploring how science intersects with their lives.

Claire received a BA in biology and psychology from Bryn Mawr College and a PhD in neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to joining the Institute, she completed a Civic Science Fellowship at Arizona State University, developing neuroscience public engagement resources with the National Informal STEM Education Network.
