Bio:

Ashton is the Research Associate Supervisor for the Genotyping team in the Brain Science program. She received her MS in biology from MTSU in 2021 where she described an endosymbiotic relationship between a pathogenic fungus and bacteria. After graduating with her MS, Ashton worked for two years in the private sector at a molecular pathology lab where she functioned as the Technical Operations Manager and Lead Scientist.
