Bio:
Yasmeen is a post-baccalaureate research assistant in the Brain and Consciousness division at the Allen Institute. She recently graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and minors in Philosophy and Data Science. She completed her honors thesis at the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab with Dr. Ken Paller where she assessed measurements of electroencephalographic complexity and semantic coherence in the context of sleep and cognitive control. In her current position, she analyzes electroencephalography (EEG) and electrophysiology (Neuropixels) data from mice under different brain states, ranging from unconscious to psychedelic.
Research Focus:
