Bio:

Caleb joined the Allen Institute in 2024 as part of the Allen Institute for Neural Dynamics. Before joining, he completed his Master’s in computer science at the University of Arizona, focusing on the prediction of valence and arousal scores—key dimensions of emotional states—from functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) and Electroencephalography (EEG) data for his thesis. He will now be working on the development of a post-processing pipeline for images produced by SLAP2 microscopes, aiming to understand how neurons integrate inputs from different presynaptic sources to determine their firing and plasticity.
