Bio:
Imran is a Scientific Data Engineer in the Computational Biology group at the Allen Institute for Immunology. He attended the University of California, San Diego for a BS in Bioinformatics and MS in Biology. Prior to the Allen Institute, he was a graduate student researcher at the Center for Microbiome Innovation at UCSD.
In collaboration with the Knight Lab and IBM’s Artificial Intelligence for Healthy Living (AIHL) Center, his research focused on evaluating applied machine learning on multi-omics microbiome data. Other experience includes developing standardization strategies for process data while interning at Juno Therapeutics (Bristol-Myers Squibb), and machine learning analysis of clinical metadata in a study of loneliness and aging with the AIHL Center.
