Bio:

Yoav Joined the Allen institute in 2022 as part of the Molecular Genetics department, where he focuses on development of new viral genetic tools for targeting and manipulating neuronal cell types. Yoav completed his post-doc at the the Austrian Institute for Science and Technology (ISTA), where he developed novel approaches for circuit mapping, and applied them in combination with electrophysiological and behavioral measurements to discover and characterize new pathways within the hippocampal formation. Prior to that, he received his PhD from the Tel Aviv University in Israel, where he studied molecular mechanisms regulating synaptic plasticity at the hippocampal mossy fibre pathway.
