Bio:
Kamiliam has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Washington. During her undergraduate years, she worked at the Seattle Children’s Research Institute. Collaborating with Dr. Eric Turner’s lab, she has collected and analyzed data for the projects focusing on tracing axonal projections of Rln3-expressing neurons, analyzing dopaminergic inputs from VTA to IP, and examining LHb-GAD2 neuronal projections and neurotransmitters involved in them.
In 2021, she became a research associate at Allen Institute. Being a part of the Electrophysiology team, she uses Patch-seq to broaden the understanding of electrophysiological, morphological, and transcriptomic properties of neurons in rodent and primate brains.
