Bio:
Jappreet Singh Gill joined the Allen Institute in 2024 as a Bioinformatics Scientist. In his current role, he applies single-cell and spatial transcriptomics together with multi-omics integration to investigate immune health and disease, developing reproducible analytical frameworks that link cell states to tissue context. Gill earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (Bioinformatics) from the University of North Dakota, where he mapped how mitochondrial oxidative stress impairs FOXP3⁺ regulatory T cells, driving systemic inflammation, cellular senescence, and inflammaging. He brings expertise in T-cell biology, machine learning, pipeline development, and data integration, with a focus on transforming high-dimensional data into mechanistic discoveries and clinically actionable insights.
