Bio:

Sydney is a Postbaccalaureate Researcher on the Computational Biology team at the Allen Institute for Immunology. Her work focuses on applying deep learning and bioinformatics techniques to enable high-resolution classification and analysis of single-cell omics data, with the goal of building an atlas of gene regulation information in human immune cells. She is particularly interested in applying and developing interpretable machine learning approaches to better understand immune function in health and disease. Sydney earned her B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Music from the University of Washington.
