Bio:
Sara (she/her) joined AICS in July 2017 after receiving her BS in Chemistry from the University of Washington in Seattle, where she studied TRP family ion channels in the Gordon Lab (HSB I-312) under the supervision of Anastasiia Stratiievska. As an RA III on the experimental team, Sara currently performs quality control of gene-edited hiPSC lines through biochemical and image based assays, as well as studies the specifics of cellular structure reorganization during the epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT). In addition, she spends much of her time working up image content of released cell lines on allencell.org.
