Bio:
Rong Guo joined the Allen Institute in 2022 as a Scientist in the Human Cell Types Group, where she contributes to the development of novel gene therapies for neurodevelopmental disorders. As part of the gene therapy program, Rong focuses on the in vitro/in vivo testing of new therapeutic AAVs to treat brain diseases such as epilepsy. Prior to joining the Allen institute, Rong was a postdoc associate at the University of Pittsburgh, where her work used multidisciplinary approaches to understand how sleep regulates reward-seeking and relapse.
