Bio:

Peter Han is the Manager of Strategic Initiatives for the Office of Science and Innovation (OSI) at the Allen Institute. Peter aids in government relations, scientific partnerships, external programs, and oversees the contact management database team. Peter previously served as a research manager and pathogen detection laboratory manager for the Brotman Baty Institute at the University of Washington. Peter helped build and run the laboratory behind The Seattle Flu Study, which pivoted to pandemic response in 2020. Peter managed staff and research, development, and deployment of new laboratory techniques and clinical-grade assays, as well as pathogen genomics. Peter holds a Master of Science in biology from Central Michigan University where he studied the population genetics of Steller sea lions in Alaska.
