Michael Tieu

Research Associate III

teams /
Allenite

Michael first joined the Institute as a member of the Genotyping team, where he helped perform high throughput genotyping of mouse pedigree lines for various projects at the Institute. He transitioned to the Single Cell RNASeq core team when they were scaling up their pipeline for single cell transcriptomics and has been with the team since. Prior to the Institute, Michael was an Associate Scientist at GENEWIZ where he was on a team that provided Sanger sequencing services for local research institutes and biotech companies.

Michael obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Puget Sound and earned a Certificate in Applied Biostatistics from the University of Washington.
