Faith Best joined the Allen Institute as a Scientific Project and Alliance Manager for the Brain Science team in 2026. Prior to joining the Institute, Faith served as the scientific project manager and lead medical researcher in the non-profit sector.Faith earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Cincinnati, where she developed and studied a model of induced repetitive cortical spreading depolarizations following moderate traumatic brain injury. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, with a focus in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience, at Ohio Wesleyan University.In addition to research and project management, Faith is also passionate about public engagement with science, patient and research advocacy, and bridging communication gaps between scientists, clinicians, and the public.
