Emma Paulini joined the Allen Institute in 2026 as the Legal team’s Administrative Coordinator III. She graduated from Pomona College with a B.A. in Biology and minors in German and Theatre. Prior to transitioning into nonprofit work, Emma conducted research at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA, where she studied Hydra regeneration rate, social systems, and nervous system function. She also completed her undergraduate thesis on the relationship between wild bees and native California plants. Emma is excited to combine her scientific background with her nonprofit experience, having joined the Allen Institute from the Pacific Northwest Ballet, and prior to moving to Seattle, as part of the team at the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in Becket, MA.
