Chrissy Weber-Schmidt, B.A.

Research Associate, Sr.

Bio:

Chrissy manages the Neurobiology of Action team in Neural Dynamics. Chrissy was most recently a senior Research Technician in Dr. Geoffrey Hill’s transplant immunology lab at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, where she managed the lab’s ethics protocols as well as several experimental procedures. Prior to her time at Fred Hutch, she spent several years in key technician positions, including time managing lab operations and animal studies for a Metabolism Group studying diabetes and the Vollum Institute at OHSU looking at the roll of REST in Alzheimer’s disease. Chrissy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Reed College where her senior thesis involved optimizing immunohistochemistry protocols to visualize neuronal activity and examine the correlation of brain expression to aggressive and parental behaviors recorded in various cichlid species. In her free time, Chrissy loves to bake, play board games and support the Seattle Sounders FC.
