Cherry Leung is a Research Associate II on the AI BioDesign team as part of the Protein Binding flywheel.
Prior to joining the Allen Institute, Cherry worked on a team that utilized machine learning to guide high throughput aptamer screening for cell isolation. Her work primarily focused on optimizing binding protocols, next-generation sequencing, and aptamer validation.
Cherry received her Master of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Washington in 2023. During her time there, she developed methods for live-imaging stem-cell derived cardiomyocytes to analyze intracellular tension alongside sarcomere dynamics.
