Braxton Jamison, Ph.D.

Scientist I

Bio:

Braxton joined the Allen Institute for Immunology as a Scientist 1 in April 2025. He obtained his PhD in Immunology from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where he worked on developing therapeutic strategies for antigen-specific tolerance induction and treatment of autoimmune diabetes. After graduation, Braxton moved to Seattle and completed post-doctoral training at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center and Benaroya Research Institute, investigating the use of cellular therapies and cytokine-based drugs to modulate the immune response. Before joining the Allen Institute, Braxton was a Scientist at a cell therapy startup where he was part of a team developing off-the-shelf engineered NK cells for cancer.

Research Focus:

Braxton’s research will focus on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms by which the nervous and immune systems communicate in health and during various disease processes such as viral infection, cancer, and autoimmune disease. His work will advance our understanding of fundamental biological processes and potentially lead to the development of novel types of therapeutics targeting neuroimmune pathways.
