Amelia joined the Allen Institute in 2025 as a Bioinformatics Intern and transitioned to a Bioinformatics Analyst. In their current role, they develop and maintain end-to-end bioinformatics pipelines for single-cell and multi-modal omics data processing, standardize bioinformatic workflows and analysis practices,  and submit data for scientific publications. They also contribute to onboarding analysis of new lab sequencing technologies. They have extensive experience in next-generation sequencing, including single-cell RNA analysis and Oxford Nanopore DNA sequencing.

Amelia holds a master’s degree in Bioinformatics and Genomics from the University of Oregon.
