Bio:

Ali joined the Allen Institute in 2010 as a member of the Tissue Sectioning team, contributing to the human and mouse brain atlases. Following the completion of the atlases, Ali transitioned to the Neurosurgery & Behavior team, where she gained expertise in murine neurosurgeries and operant behavior training, helping to build and collect data for the Visual Coding, Visual Behavior, and Visual Behavior Neuropixel Allen Brain Observatories. After several years performing surgeries and training mice, she became Manager of the Neurosurgery & Behavior team, overseeing surgery operations for the Brain Observatories and Next Generation Connectivity Atlas.

Ali joined AIND in 2023 along with the rest of the MindScope team and now serves as a Senior Manager within AIND Research Operations. She coordinates surgery operations across multiple science units, working closely with different teams to ensure projects and research initiatives have the support they need to succeed.
