Bio:
Ahrial Young joined the Allen Institute in August 2021 as a member of the Optical Physiology team, performing in vivo 2 photon microscopy on behaving mice. Prior to joining Allen, Ahrial was a laboratory technician in a diabetes lab at UCLA. In 2019, Ahrial graduated from the University of California– San Diego (UCSD) and graduated with a BS in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Neuroscience as well as a minor in Linguistics. Her research experience began in the Gage Lab of the Salk Institute where she studied mitochondria and brain disorders.
