Bio:

Aditi Sengupta joined the Allen Institute for Brain Science as a Scientific Project and Alliance Manager in October 2024. She holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) credential from the Project Management Institute with 9+ years of experience in leading technical projects, overseeing project operations, leading interdisciplinary teams establishing and maintaining strong working relationships and communications with funding sponsors, internal and external stakeholders, managing budgets, responding to sponsor needs, and organization building. Prior to joining the institute, she was a project manager at the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Washington where she oversaw US Department of Energy-sponsored projects.

Aditi earned her PhD in Environmental Sciences from The Ohio State University where she used -omics techniques to evaluate impact of soil management practices on soil microbial diversity and subsequent methane gas emissions from land-use. She expanded her training and research portfolio through postdoctoral experiences at the University of Arizona and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. She further strengthened her teaching and mentoring skills as a faculty of Biology at the California Lutheran University.
