This year’s TReND CaMinA runs from July 7-12 at Lusaka, Zambia (Deadline: Jan. 31)
Last August, around 20 graduate and undergraduate students gathered in Kigali, Rwanda to take part in a computational neuroscience and machine learning program called TReND CaMinA (Computational Neuroscience and Machine Learning in Africa)
The program was aimed at training the next generation of scientists in cutting-edge tools and technologies and supporting STEM eduction in Africa.
Scientists from the Allen Institute travelled to Rwanda to help teach the course using real-world neuroscience data from the Allen Brain Observatory.
This innovative educational opportunity is organized by TReND in Africa (Teaching and Research in Natural Sciences for Development in Africa).

This year, the Allen Institute will also be supporting the program. The 2025 workshop will be at the University of Zambia in Lusaka, ZambiaRegistration is open until January 31, 2025
