The Cascadia Advanced Genomic Technologies (CAGT) Meeting is a growing annual conference that brings together Cascadia’s (Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia) leading minds to accelerate discovery at the intersection of biology and technology through collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Registration will open February 2026
Allen Institute | Seattle, WA
Audience
Early Career Scientists, Graduate, Postdocs, Scientists
Our goal is to develop Cascadia into a world-class hub for mammalian synthetic biology, leveraging the region’s strengths in functional genomics, machine learning, protein design, and genome engineering. Focused on the frontier of genomic innovation, this gathering explores how we design, read, and model complex biological systems. Join us to explore the tools transforming the field—from writing genomes to modeling them.

About the Bashor Lab
Using the tools of synthetic biology, we construct artificial regulatory circuits and test their function in living cells. This not only gives us insight into the design logic of natural regulation, but also allows us to predictively alter cellular phenotype to create cell-based translational applications.
