Resources for teachers
The Allen Institute is known for our commitment to open science – sharing our data and analysis tools freely with the scientific community. In addition to the research applications, our resources can help educators provide real-world and cutting-edge science experiences for their students.
Our education resources are geared toward high school and college biology instructors who are seeking real research experiences for their students. Customizable lesson plans introduce students to fundamental concepts in biology via guided experiments that use data from our ongoing research projects. Advanced students can use the guided experiment as a starting point for independent research projects using the same resources.
